Cheeseburger Sliders

 


 Here is a delightful recipe for **Cheeseburger Sliders**, ideal for gatherings, game nights, or an enjoyable family dinner.


Ingredients:

- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for optimal juiciness)

- 1 small onion, finely diced

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 12 slider buns or dinner rolls

- 6 slices of cheddar cheese, cut in half

- 2 tbsp melted butter

- 1 tsp garlic powder

- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

- Pickles, ketchup, mustard, or other preferred toppings


 Instructions:


1. **Preheat the Oven**: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).


2. **Prepare the Beef**: 

   - In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.

   - Once browned, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes tender.

   - Season the mixture with salt and pepper, then remove from heat and drain any excess fat.


3. **Construct the Sliders**:

   - Without separating the slider buns, slice them horizontally in half to create a top and bottom.

   - Arrange the bottom halves of the buns in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.

   - Distribute the cooked beef mixture evenly over the buns.

   - Place the cheese halves on top of the beef mixture, ensuring each slider has a piece of cheese.


4. **Finish the Sliders**:

   - Position the top halves of the buns over the cheese and beef.

   - In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder and brush this mixture over the tops of the buns.

   - Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a classic burger appearance.


5. **Bake**:

   - Place the sliders in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.


6. **Serve**:

   - Once baked, remove from the oven and carefully cut the sliders apart.

   - Serve alongside pickles, ketchup, mustard, or any of your favorite burger toppings.  

. Suggestions:  

- **Incorporate Bacon**: Prepare bacon strips and place them atop the cheese prior to adding the upper buns.  

- **Enhance with Sauce**: Apply a light coating of mayonnaise, ketchup, or mustard on the lower buns before placing the beef.  

- **Include Lettuce and Tomatoes**: For added freshness and texture, introduce lettuce and tomato slices after baking.
