Here's a simple and tasty **Pan-Seared Pork Chops with Herb Butter**
Ingredients:
- 2 — bone in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. fresh (or 1/2 tsp. dried) thyme
1 tsp fresh rosemary (or 1/2 tsp dried rosemary)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Method:
1. Prepare the Pork Chops:
- Remove the pork chops from the fridge to warm up and keep at room temperature for 15 -20 minutes. Dry your scallops between paper towels and season them very generously on both sides with salt and black pepper.
2. Sear the Pork Chops:
Pre-heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle olive oil. When the oil is hot add the pork chops to the skillet.
Sear the pork chops for 4–5 minutes, push them to the side of skillet and turn on the other side until they get a lovely golden brown crust. Just let them be, so they can get a golden crust.
If a thermometer is being used, the internal temperature should reach 145F (63C) for juicy pork chops.
3. Add Herb Butter:
Then, reduce the heat to medium-high and throw in the butter, minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary.
- Tilt skillet slightly, spoon melted butter over pork chops repeatedly (this is called basting), flavoring the meat with the garlic herb. Now do this for 2–3 minutes.
4. Rest and Serve:
– Take the pork chops out of the pan and leave on a plate for 3-5 minutes. This helps the juices to flow through the flesh of the meat.
– Mega boost of flavor anything with more lemon wedges drizzled lime over it.
Among the cohorts of side dishes you can serve with these delicious pork chops are mashed potatoes, sweet and savory roasted vegetables or a simple supper salad. Serve your pork chops!
